It’s SHOT Show time, and at our all-encompassing industry trade show you can bank on the National Shooting Sports Foundation to actively live its mission, which is to promote, preserve and protect the shooting sports. You’re actively helping us fulfill that mission by attending the Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show and Conference (SHOT) which takes place this year in an expanded new venue, the Sands Exposition and Conference Center in Las Vegas. Nowhere else can you do more in four days to educate yourself and your staff, increase your sales, and position your business for future growth. In short, it is the best and most effective way to see everything that’s new and to meet everyone you need to be successful in 2010.

The 2010 SHOT Show will be truly a unique experience. Several key items reflect this. As you requested via surveys, we are back in exciting Las Vegas and in a brand new venue in the heart of the Strip. Second, there is no other event, conference or summit related to our trade where you can actively promote your products and services to so many key retailers, industry leaders and the media. We expect over 60,000 key attendees from every state and 75 foreign countries. In fact, this is the largest gathering of the shooting and outdoor press in the world with over 1,500 active press working the show.

Because of the political change in our world, we sense everyone is a little on “edge.” We have a different view of the edge. We truly believe the SHOT Show gives everyone the edge. It provides information and products that are on the cutting edge of technology. The SHOT Show University, educational seminars and discussions with industry leaders gives our members the leading edge in understanding current market conditions. Our member’s new products give retailers the competitive edge in their respective markets. In fact, we are very proud of the fact that the National Shooting Sports Foundation is the industry’s edge to protecting our freedom to prosper and enjoy the shooting sports.

Your dollars from the SHOT Show support our mission and our many programs dedicated to helping the industry we love. This includes recruiting new shooters through the NSSF First Shots program and Families Afield program, and providing much needed legislative and research resources. We also champion programs that help retailers, shooting ranges, gun clubs, organized competitions, hunting, wildlife conservation and our industry’s public image. So attending this show is truly an investment in your future.

We at the NSSF are extremely proud and appreciative of our members and exhibitors. 2010 will be an extraordinary year and that all begins in January at this year’s SHOT Show.
