The National Shooting Sports Foundation makes every effort to meet the media's needs at the SHOT Show with a fully staffed and professionally operated show press room. A separate area for working media has been added, and other press room enhancements will be announced.
The NSSF Press Room (Venetian Hotel, Murano Ballroom) at the SHOT Show provides a variety of resources to assist media professionals, among them...
- Free Wi-Fi — For the second year, NSSF will offer free Wi-Fi in the press room.
- Working Press Area — A separate area providing plenty of space and tables for working press will be part of the press room. Bring your laptop and file your stories from the press room.
- Computer Workstations — Several PCs and a Mac, all with Internet connections, will be available for use on a first-come, first-served basis. All will be connected to a printer.
- Fax — Faxes can be sent to the press room and held for you.
- Photocopy Service — A full-feature copying machine will be available in the Press Room. Media attendees may request reasonable photocopy service.
- Press Conferences — A dedicated room is reserved for exhibitor press conferences. A schedule will be posted on the SHOT Show website and in the press room. There will be other press conferences held during the show at exhibitor booths. Please note that NSSF does not maintain a comprehensive list of all press conferences held at the show, only those scheduled for the Press Conference Room.
- Press Kits — A selection of press kits, news releases, photographs and other information provided by exhibiting companies for media attendees will be available in the press room.
- Official SHOT Show floor maps and a show directory of exhibitors will be available in the press room to help you plan your days and make the most of your time.
- Complimentary Refreshments — Pastries and beverages are available from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. every day in the press room. Coffee, tea and cold water are available all day.
- Personal Assistance — If you need assistance with anything, please ask a member of the press room staff. They will make every effort to help you.
- Power stations: Multiple kiosks for charging laptops, smartphones and other electronic devices will be available.
- Radio room: Radio show hosts may reserve time in a separate room to record or broadcast their shows.
- Coat/Equipment Room: A separate, staffed room is available for media to store coats and equipment during press room hours.
Writer's Reference Guide
"The Writer's Guide to Firearms and Ammunition" includes an illustrated glossary of terms and can be accessed online in the Media Resources section of National Shooting Sports Foundation website. A PDF version is also available to download. Printed copies will be available free of charge at the show in the press room.
